Gustavo, a teenager from 'Prata' a neighborhood in the suburbs of Rio de Janeiro, loses his job after an argument over the first picture of a black hole and now he doesn't know what to do. The film follows and explores the subjectivities, lack of perspective and the connection of Gustavo and his group of friends with the neighborhood.

Lucas Melo is a young brazilian filmmaker and first-time director from the suburbs of Rio de janeiro. He graduated in business school but left the corporate world after quitting his job to go to film school and pursuit his dream of making films. 'Prata', his debut work, premiered in Rio de Janeiro International Short film Festival 2020, the most important short film festival of the country, winning the Grand prix. The film is also shortlisted in 'Grande Prêmio do cinema brasileiro' the most important brazilian cinema award.
